This interview with Lilium co-Founder and VP Product, Patrick Nathan, published last week by soak.com, focuses on the actual construction and building process of the Lilium Jet.
Nathan has the right background and experience to carry out this feat. First, he went into chemical engineering to learn about the “big boom” of rockets and then followed this by studying aerospace engineering, where he specialised on the modelling of turbulent flows. He says, “Everything that flies has always been my thing.”
When Lilium was founded in 2015, Nathan was completing his PhD. He felt that academia didn’t seem like the best path to pursue this passion and therefore jumped at the chance of joining Lilium in the very early stage of its development.
Worth a perusal. Nathan comes over well.
