Rumours flying around UAV circles is that Terra Drone is entering the air taxi business after forming a tie-up with Tokyo-based start-up AirMobility, claims akihabaranews.com
Terra Drone is a major player in the industry and was recently voted as the world’s No.1 industrial drone service company in the Drone Service Provider Ranking 2020, compiled by Drone Industry Insights.
AirMobility is a new Japanese company, established in August 2019, aiming to build infrastructure for sales and services of future flying cars and taxis. The two companies have not released any details yet about the full scope of its partnership and financial agreement, but as the media outlet suggests, “(It) does signal that this grouping could become one of Japan’s most serious players in the air taxi space, given Terra Drone’s standing.”
