Monaco to introduce UTM system on 17 June

On 3 June, the Directorate of Civil Aviation and AirSpace Drones presented a preview in Monaco of the FlySafe UTM programme. From June 17 the system will identify and track all flights of drones that have been authorized to fly in the Principality.

According to New Monthly Monaco: “The Principality thus becomes one of the only States to have an unmanned aircraft management system. In the presence of Samy Touati, Secretary General of the Department of Facilities, Environment and Urbanism, representing Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Government Counselor – Minister and Frédéric Genta, Interministerial Delegate for Digital Transition, representatives of the International Civil Aviation Organization, the French DGAC, the European Aviation Safety Agency and Eurocontrol, the press attended the use of this innovative tool at the Ministry of State .A live simulation of a drone delivery of a package from the Monaco Heliport on a ship off the port of Cap d’Ail with border crossing and change of airspace was organized.”
