U.S. Zipline, a leading ‘drones for good’ medical delivery service is preparing to expand its work to Israel for 2021, reports haaretz.com. Presently, Zipline is active in Africa and more remote areas of America, flying blood and medical equipment via their specially developed unmanned craft.
Founded in 2014, Zipline has raised around USD230 million to date and has a valuation of more than USD1 billion. It’s considered the most prominent player in this specialised market. The company has operated commercial drone delivery services since 2016 and carried out close to 75,000 deliveries under the banner, “Zipline delivers critical and lifesaving products precisely where and when they are needed, safely and reliably, every day, across multiple countries.”
The company has begun the regulatory process for Israel and is in talks with potential customers with the aim of beginning deliveries next year to remoter parts of the country
