Schubeler has launched the eP05-21 electric ducted fan propulsion unit designed specifically to power both manned and unmanned electric Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. With a diameter of 524mm, DC power input of 21 kW, Static Thrust of 680N, a flight speed range of 0-45 m/s and a sub-60V architecture, it is ready to be integrated into eVTOL projects.
“eP05-21 is the first in a new line of Aerospace-specific products that will be referred to as Schubeler Aero,” says the company in a press release. “It’s tested and proven technology; we’ve completed intense wind tunnel testing in July as well as successful integration in actual eVTOL aircraft.”
