Electro.Aero launches new range of 40kW and 80kW eVTOL chargers

Electro.Aero has announced its latest production 40kW (shown) and 80kW chargers.

“Our series of DC portable chargers can be run from standard 3 phase AC outlets common in most hangars around the world, and we’ve engineered variants to accommodate different charging standards (A6968, GB/T, CCS1, CCS2, ARP8486 or GEACS*),” said the company in a Linkedin post.

Electro.Aero can deliver flexible, cost effective and reliable aircraft agnostic infrastructure solutions which is something we’ve heard time and time again that the AAM industry needs.  We are also currently developing and testing higher power portable charging systems that offer the infrastructure requirements for commercial operations and we look forward to releasing these next tier products into the market from 2026….We also have some exciting distribution agreements coming together for jurisdictions in North America, UK, Japan, Malaysia, Australia, India, Indonesia, UAE, Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Greenland among others. “

Editor’s note:  Joby and Archer have different charging programmes. Joby is focusing on its Global Electric Aviation Charging System (GEACS), while Archer is adopting the Combined Charging System (CCS) developed by Beta Technologies.
