Ambitious Air Mobility Group (AAMG) is looking to acquire Lilium’s key assets, including intellectual property, testing facilities and some employees. AAMG intends to develop Lilium’s aircraft platform and set up a supply chain to build the aircraft in Europe.
A statement from AAMG says it ordered 16 Lilium aircraft prior to the insolvency proceedings and is offering to revitalise the company with capital of over 250 million euros. A further 500 million euros could be invested for the global expansion of operations.
AAMG says it has already planned a cooperation programme with potential suppliers, authorities and government partners.
