Aerofugia reports 300 new orders for its six-seat AE200 eVTOL

China’s Aerofugia reports it has secured purchase orders for 300 units of its AE200 model.

According to the China Daily news outlet: “The Chengdu, Sichuan province-based company has signed strategic cooperation agreements with AVIC International Leasing and Suyin Financial Leasing, marking a significant step toward the commercial rollout of its flagship aircraft. The collaboration with AVIC International Leasing is set to explore diversified partnership models and integrate industrial chain resources to address challenges in scaling application and financing during the initial commercialization phase of emerging eVTOL products, Aerofugia said.

“The partnership also seeks to accelerate domestic technological advancement and product innovation in the eVTOL sector through ecosystem co-development and resource sharing. The cooperation with Suyin Financial Leasing is expected to provide Aerofugia with faster access to low-altitude economy pilot programs in eastern China, helping introduce the AE200 into practical application scenarios sooner.”

According to Aerofugia, the AE200 is  a six-seat all-electric piloted  eVTOL aircraft, with a range of 200 km. It “is set to be progressively utilized in areas such as urban air mobility, low-altitude tourism, and emergency rescue. the AE200 airworthiness technology verification aircraft has successfully completed the all-tilt transition flight test, becoming the second in the world and the first manned eVTOL in China to complete this project.”
