Incheon to host future aircraft exchange in response to growing urban traffic congestion

The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) is set to discuss advanced air mobility (AAM) technologies in response to urban traffic congestion and the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation, The Asia Business Daily reports today (January 27).

According to the article, KOFST will host the AI Convergence Future Aircraft Research Exchange (Electric Flight and eVTOL) in Incheon from January 28 to 30, bringing together aerospace experts from major countries such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan to discuss the latest research trends and future directions in the AAM sector.

The primary objective of the meeting is to establish and strengthen international cooperation strategies surrounding next-generation aviation technologies, including electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) and AI-based autonomous flight.

The article noted that the exchange “goes beyond simple academic presentations, focusing on practical discussions aimed at joint research and the establishment of a global cooperation network”.
