AirMobility and Skyportz have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance the introduction of Skyportz’s patented modular vertipad, the Aeroberm™, into the Japanese market. AirMobility Inc. aims to combine the Aeroberm™ with its proprietary vertiport automation system, AirVport.
According to a Skyportz press release: “As the commercial launch of eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft and large industrial drone approaches, the development of vertiport infrastructure is accelerating worldwide. Managing downwash generated during take-off and landing, reducing noise, and enabling rapid response to battery fires are critical factors in gaining community acceptance and enabling the widespread deployment of vertiports.”
