MD Aircraft GmbH has announced the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Aerova Inc., a Canada-based air logistics and regional aviation operator headquartered in Oakville, Ontario. The agreement covers the initial deployment of 20 MDA1 eViator™ aircraft for operations across Canada.
“This LOI marks a significant step in expanding Aerova’s role as an operator across both cargo and passenger aviation,” said Ravi Gade, CEO of Aerova Inc. “While our foundation is in autonomous air logistics, this partnership enables us to extend into regional passenger operations, leveraging electric aircraft to deliver efficient, low-emission connectivity across underserved and remote regions in Canada.”
“We are pleased to partner with Aerova as they expand into regional passenger aviation,” said Gregor Müller, CEO of MD Aircraft GmbH. “The MDA1 eViator™ is designed to enable sustainable and cost-efficient regional transport, and Aerova’s operator-led approach makes them an ideal partner for early deployment.”
With its new Aerova partnership, MD Aircraft has executed Letters of Intent for 140 aircraft, reflecting strong international demand for electric regional aviation solutions.
Initial flight tests of the aircraft are planned for early 2028, and commercial certification and entry into service targeted for 2030.
