According to an X post from Joby, the world’s first commercial air taxi vertiport, located next to Dubai International Airport, is now complete. “Four stories. Two landing pads. 170,000 passengers a year. We were honored to have His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Mohammed personally stop by to see our progress and thank you to RTA Dubai and Skyports Infrastructure for being the partners that made this possible.”
According to a Dubai Media Office X post. “The station serves as the main hub for air taxi operations in the city…. The station comprises a four-storey building spanning 3,100 square metres, a two-level car park, two air taxi take-off and landing pads, dedicated charging infrastructure for air taxi vehicles, and climate-controlled passenger facilities with a capacity to serve up to 170,000 passengers annually. The station has been developed in line with high international safety standards.”
