Archer Aviation today published plans for three air taxi networks serving Austin, Dallas and Houston with the goal of increasing connectivity between major airports, business districts, and coastal destinations in the fastest growing megaregion in the United States. “The Texas Triangle is home to more than 20 million people and several of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country,” said the company in a press release.
Archer’s planned air taxi networks in the state are designed to turn 60–90 minute drives to major airports, business districts and major destinations into 10–20 minute flights.
“Texas is setting the bar for America’s leadership in the next generation of aviation,” said Adam Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Archer Aviation. “Our planned networks will make the benefits of electric air taxis real for Texans — trading hours in traffic for minutes in the air, while connecting the biggest airports, business districts and sporting hubs in ways that America’s largest megaregion needs to grow.”
Archer’s planned network In Dallas–Fort Worth will connect major airports including Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas Love Field, Addison Airport, Arlington Municipal Airport, Fort Worth Meacham International Airport and Fort Worth Alliance Airport with major business hubs like the Dallas Star in Frisco Station.

In Houston, Archer’s planned air taxi network will link the city’s major airports like George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport, and Sugar Land Regional Airport, with the Thompson Hotel Helipad downtown and Galveston, turning the hour-plus drive from the city’s core to the coast into a short flight.
“The race to dominate next-generation aviation is moving faster than ever. Archer Aviation is a prime example of American innovation, demonstrating that the United States has what it takes to be the global standard,” said Senator Ted Cruz. “These three planned networks will not only allow Texans to reclaim their time but also strengthen American leadership in the skies.”

Austin’s planned network will connect the city’s major airports like Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Austin Executive Airport with the F1 Circuit Helipad at the Circuit of The Americas – making F1 Grand Prix races minutes away for Texans and visitors.

According to Archer: “Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Archer completing the Northern California leg of its ‘No Roads’ flight tour which included multiple flights over the San Francisco Bay. Flying into seven cities over a three day period, Archer gave people across the Bay Area a chance to see the benefits all-electric air taxis can bring to their communities: low noise, zero operating emissions, and the ability to skip over crowded highways.”
