UK electric aircraft charging company Aerovolt has launched an Electric Book and Claim programme for business aviation, enabling operators to claim verified emissions reductions generated by electric flight activity. The scheme mirrors established sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) book and claim models, using real electric aircraft operations to create independently validated carbon certificates that can be allocated to conventional flights, said the company ina press release.
“The programme is designed to stimulate early demand for electric aviation, support investment in charging infrastructure and provide a practical pathway for operators to reduce reported emissions today,” said Aerovolt. “A live digital platform is now available that has early adopters of the programme enrolling into the scheme, with integrated tracking and reporting and further system integrations planned later this year.”
