Norway’s Avinor, together with Civil Aviation Authority of Norway, Bristow Group and BETA TECHNOLOGIES, has announced that first test flights between Stavanger and Bergen with the BETA Alia are now underway. The first tests between the two cities, a distance of about 86 nautical miles, are part of a six month campaign which will help the regulator develop certification and guidance policies for electric flights in the country.
Norway recently opened as an international test arena for zero- and low-emission aviation when the fully electric aircraft ALIA flew a test flight from Stavanger Airport.
