Shanghai-based eVTOL developer VOLANT reports it has successfully completed its Series C financing round, raising over USD300 million. “This milestone marks the largest single financing event in China’s commercial passenger eVTOL sector to date,” said the company in a Linkedin post. “The round was led by UAE-based Stone, with participation from HSG, Fortera Capital, Future Capital, and Legend Capital. CYGNUS Equity served as the exclusive financial advisor.
“The capital injection will primarily support the airworthiness certification and initial delivery of VOLANT’s flagship model, the VE25-100. Key focus areas include accelerating flight testing, strengthening supply chain management, and moving the product to substantive commercial operations.
“The VE25-100 has already reached significant technical milestones, including high-risk flight tests and the industry’s first piloted test flight. To date, VOLANT has secured nearly 1,900 orders from clients such as China Southern General Aviation and Asian Express Aviation.”
“We remain focused on the commercial passenger eVTOL sector,” the company stated, “aiming to achieve breakthroughs in key technologies and represent China in the global competition of the second century of aviation.”
