CycloTech has announced that it has start flight tests on the latest version of its technology demonstrator “Bumblebee2.0”, which features 4 CR42 CycloRotors and an enhanced flight control system.
According to a short statement “The start of the outdoor flight campaign marked another major milestone in the CYCLOROTOR development – aiming at a type certification for this new aviation propulsion system.
“The operations at a general aviation airport in Austria follow the strict EASA regulations under the UAS operational authorisation for the “specific” category.
“For the upcoming months demonstrations of the unique capabilities of the 360° thrust vectoring CycloRotors and the systematic expansion of the flight envelope are planned.”
