China’s YIVTOL is set to exhibit at CES 2026 in Las Vegas and will conduct an on-site delivery of the YIVTOL S-ZERO personal eVTOL to a U.S. customer there. The single-seat S-ZERO is the first ultra-light eVTOL to receive a special flight permit from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in September 2025.
The S-ZERO has a maximum payload of 100kg, a maximum speed of 70km/h and an endurance of 30 minutes, with a range of 35km. Battery swap time is 2 minutes.
According to Chen Yuan, COO of YIVTOL, the aircraft is also the first Chinese personal single-seater eVTOL to be insurance certificated and, following recently completed ultra-light eVTOL wind tunnel tests, global delivery to customers of 40 units has begun.
