Doroni Aerospace has announced an engineering partnership with TLG Aerospace, an aerospace engineering firm based in Seattle, Washington.
The partners plan to accelerate the Doroni H1-X toward full-scale production, ground testing, and FAA airworthiness alignment.
“Designed for residential garage integration and intuitive everyday personal flight, the Doroni H1-X features a tandem wing architecture, fully enclosed ducted fan propulsion, and proprietary SOUL AI™ digital co-pilot system,” says Doroni in a press release. “Under the agreement, TLG Aerospace will collaborate directly with Doroni’s internal engineering team on full-vehicle design, structural loads analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and flight mechanics.
“Our mission with the H1-X is to make safe, sustainable, and personal flight an everyday reality,” said Doron Merdinger, Founder & CEO of Doroni Aerospace Inc. “As we move rapidly toward advanced flight testing, joining forces with Steve and the TLG Aerospace team ensures our airframe and flight models meet the highest aerospace standards. TLG’s technical analysis capabilities provide the ideal complement to our engineering team as we prepare the H1-X for market.”
“The H1-X represents a compelling step forward for the personal air mobility sector,” said Steve Muenzberg, Founder & President of TLG Aerospace, LLC. “Doroni has developed an impressive baseline vehicle architecture. Our team is excited to apply our structural, aerodynamic, and certification expertise to refine the H1-X model and help Doroni build a clear, streamlined path toward certification under the new MOSAIC consensus based standards.
The engineering collaboration centers on critical technical and regulatory milestones:
- Configuration Engineering: Ensuring that the design will be safe and enjoyable to fly, with a clear path to meeting product and certification requirements.
- Structural Integrity & Airframe Loads: Performing comprehensive loads modeling to maximize the structural strength and payload efficiency of the carbon-fiber airframe.
- Aerodynamic & Transition Efficiency: Applying advanced CFD analysis to optimize hover lift, cruise aerodynamics, and energy consumption across all flight regimes.
- Compliance & DER Support: Structuring engineering datasets, stress reports, and test plans to align directly with consensus standards under the FAA MOSAIC program.
