
EHang has announced that the establishment of strategic partnership with Minth Group, a specailist in the manufacturing of exterior and structural automotive parts. The two companies will co-develop high-safety airframe systems for EHang’s electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and demonstration scenarios for cultural tourism.
According to an EHang press release:
“Under the agreement, EHang and Minth Group will jointly develop the airframe systems for low-altitude aerial vehicles, including customized solutions of lightweight and highly secure body design, lightweight and scalable production of cabin interior components, as well as intelligent cockpit human-computer interaction systems….” The two companies will also focus on the development of rotor systems with high-reliability, low-noise and high-efficiency, “committed to breaking through the technical bottleneck of the coordinated optimization of aerodynamic efficiency and operational economy.”
A dedicated demonstration base for cultural tourism will be built to showcase the practical use of low-altitude, human-carrying aircraft in real-world UAM scenarios.
