Ganzhou Nankang District Fakong Group UAV Industry Development Co has announced that five EHang 216s will be purchased as part of the Nankang Smart Air City Project. The award was the result of a single source procurement tender with a value of 12.75 billion yuan (RMB) (USD1.83 million).
“The Civil Aviation Administration of China officially released the Special Conditions for EH216-S Unmanned Aircraft Systems which provides an “original standard” for this type of product; it is currently the only company in the Civil Aviation Administration of China that has obtained the prerequisites for airworthiness certification,” said the tender award document. “The technical specifications and parameters of this product (EHang EH216-S) meet the purchasing needs of buyers, and are supported by many successful operation cases.”
