India’s Vjaitra Air Mobility has announced in a Linkedin post that it is developing India’s first Experience Centre for Sustainable Urban Air Mobility (UAM) — “a national first in showcasing the future of hydrogen-powered VTOL air taxis.”
“This landmark facility will offer live demonstrations, simulations, and immersive experiences of our hydrogen VTOL aircraft, designed with two patented full-aircraft technologies. With zero emissions, minimal noise, and short takeoff and landing capability, VJAITRA is redefining mobility for both urban and regional India.
“The Experience Centre is backed by a strong innovation ecosystem, including: IIML EIC, Wadhwani Foundation & Microsoft for Climate Innovation for global sustainability collaboration, GH2 India, Advanced Air Mobility Institute (USA), and BRICS Centre for Industrial Competencies (BCIC).
The centre will serve as a hub for public demonstrations of eVTOL capabilities, stakeholder workshops and pilot training, investor and policy engagement, R&D on hydrogen propulsion and sustainable aviation.
VJAITRA reports it has accumulated letters of intent exceeding USD312 million for its VTOL.
