Japan’s Transport Ministry to hold public-private policy meeting on eVTOLs

Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, will hold the 11th Public-Private Council for the Air Mobility Revolution on August 28, 2025, with the aim of expanding the operation of eVTOLs and flying cars in Japan.

The event will run from 10:00-12:00 at the Mita Common Conference Hall (2-1-8 Mita, Minato-ku, Tokyo). It will discuss the status of efforts since the previous public-private council meeting, the findings of various working groups including the vertiport facility review committee, the establishment of a system to manage flying cars, operation and public support of such aircraft at the Osaka-Kansai Expo, and uncrewed aircraft.
