Joby has reported in an X post that it is expanding its presence on California’s Central Coast with the acquisition of a 47,500 sq. ft. facility near Hollister Municipal Airport in San Benito County, adding to operations in Santa Cruz, Marina and San Carlos.
“The site will help accelerate our flight testing program as we move through the final phase of FAA Type Certification for our electric air taxi,” said the company in a statement.
According to CoStar News Joby plans to use a warehouse near Hollister’s small airport to support flight testing operations.
