Joby electric air taxi completes its first flights as part of the White House-backed eIPP scheme during a weeklong activation across the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Events are invitation only unless otherwise noted. Joby Aviation has signed a lease for 45,000 square feet at Alliance Air Trade Center in Haslet, part of Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport.

Joby’s electric air taxi will be on display at The Bridge, while BLADE flights will connect visitors from Manhattan in a matter of minutes.

Joby’s J208 completes its eastbound journey at the same place the Wright Brothers first took flight. This stop is expected to mark the end of the first-of-its-kind, coast-to-coast flight using autonomous technology, demonstrating the potential for the future of flight at the place where it all began.

The J208 mission continues in Raleigh, home to Joby’s North Carolina eIPP partnership. This stop celebrates the collaboration between Joby and NCDOT, showcasing how autonomous aviation is taking shape in the Research Triangle’s growing aerospace and tech community.
September 24
Joby’s J208 cross-country mission arrives in the nation’s capital. This stop brings Joby’s autonomy technologies to Washington, D.C., celebrating the regulatory partnerships that made a coast-to-coast autonomous flight possible and connecting the mission to national aviation policy.
September 25
The J208 aircraft arrives at Louisville’s airport, home to UPS Worldport, the world’s largest automated package facility, spotlighting the potential value of autonomous to air logistics and cargo delivery.
September 28
The J208 tour includes a stop in Wichita, home to Textron Aviation, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the U.S. and the manufacturer of the Cessna Grand Caravan that serves as the J208’s airframe.
September 29
The J208 brings its autonomous technologies to Oklahoma City, home to the FAA’s technical training hub.
September 30
The J208 aircraft returns home via Utah, lead state of the uFLY autonomous aviation coalition. This stop celebrates Joby’s eIPP partnership with UDOT, marking a key checkpoint on the J208’s return journey across the American West.
