Toff Mobility, a Korean sustainable air mobility startup company headed by CEO Chanyoung Jung, has signed a contract to introduce the Velis electro electric aircraft from Pipistrel, certified by the European Aviation Administration (EASA) in June 2020 according to a report by AVFoil.
“The Velis electro is a two-seater aircraft operated by two 24kWh batteries with dual cooling pumps, designed to operate independently if one fails while operating at the same time, enhancing safety” according to the AVFoil report.
“The electric charger system from Eaton in Switzerland introduced along with the electric aircraft will be the first electric charger to be operated at an airport in Korea. The improvement of certification and system for domestic operation continues collaboration for future aviation mobility through cooperation with related organisations.
“Early last week, Toff Mobility said it would start tourism and logistic services via electric flight in Asia from next year.”
