EUROCAE publishes guidance material for EASA hybrid electric propulsion compliance

European standards body EUROCAE has published the WG-113 Hybrid Electric Propulsion working group’s guidance material for means of compliance for EASA’s SC E-19 EHPS.420 demonstration.

According to a Linkedin post:

“Based on new publication of SC-EHPS, objective is to define MOC for SC-EHPS endurance substantiation and issue an EUROCAE Guidance document for EHPS endurance AMC….The aviation industry is witnessing a revolution that will see integration of more electricity to power vehicles. One factor leading this revolution stems from environmental constraints (in order to lower the emissions): studies into the electrification of aircraft propulsion revealed the potential of reducing carbon footprint by 50% between 2005 and 2050.”
