Volocopter and Korea’s Chodang University partner on eVTOL pilot training

Volocopter and Chodang University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of UAM pilot training programs in South Korea, with a focus on Jeju Island.

According to Volocopter in a Linkedin post this partnership covers development of UAM pilot training curricula, integration of advanced simulation systems and long-term planning for up to 10 VoloXPro training aircraft and two simulators

“What makes this collaboration particularly significant is the direct connection between cutting-edge eVTOL technology and one of Korea’s leading aviation training institutions,” said Volocopter. “By combining industry expertise with academic excellence, both partners aim to help build the next generation of pilots for the evolving advanced air mobility ecosystem. The next phase will include curriculum development, expert workshops, and technology exchange initiatives to establish a strong foundation for future UAM operations and training.”
