In a Linkedin post Sarla Aviation reports it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jeppesen ForeFlight – a company specialized in aviation navigation data, flight planning and aviation intelligence.
“This collaboration will explore how Jeppesen’s capabilities, including its navigational data and simulation tools, can support the safe and scalable integration of eVTOL and urban air mobility operations in India,” said the company in a statement.
Sarla Aviation is developing the Shunya eVTOL which combines vertical take-off and landing capability with fixed-wing cruise efficiency, enabling runway-independent operations and improved propulsion efficiency. The aircraft’s first flight is targeted within the next 18 to 24 months, with certification activities expected to follow.
