Bluenest by Globalvia has developed a mobile control centre for vertiports “that redefines how and where drone and eVTOL operations can be managed,” according to a Linkedin post. “This fully autonomous, transportable infrastructure can be rapidly deployed across different environments, without the need for permanent facilities. It is designed to bring operational capability exactly where it is needed, reducing deployment times, optimizing resources, and supporting the progressive rollout of AAM,” said the company.
The mobile centre includes: a dedicated space for drone transport, battery charging, and the coordination of all critical elements required for each mission and a control hub equipped with advanced monitoring systems, cloud-based 4G connectivity, open integration with IoT and edge computing technologies, sustainable energy generation through solar panels, and artificial vision systems for environmental awareness and people detection.
“Since its first deployment in January 2025 at Cantoblanco Hospital (Madrid), as part of the European U-ELCOME project, the Mobile Control Center has been successfully operating in very different contexts — including the Port of Seville, Ocaña Aerodrome, and the Cee–Corcubión coastal area — proving its ability to adapt to demanding technical, operational and weather conditions,” said the company.
