Foster Aviation, a Dubai-based advanced air mobility and aviation solutions provider, and Aeroberm™ (a Skyportz company), today announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the rollout of vertiport infrastructure across the United Arab Emirates.
Under the partnership, Foster Aviation will act as an Aeroberm partner in the UAE, working directly with local air safety regulators and the property industry to establish a multitude of vertiport sites throughout the country.
“Aeroberm addresses the three unresolved issues most commonly cited as blocking vertiport certification globally: downwash and outwash wind forces, lithium-ion battery fire risk, and noise amenity,” said Aeroberm in a press release. “Its patented fractal panel deck dissipates wind energy around 90% faster than conventional tarmac in CFD research conducted with Swinburne University, with early indications that the same design element may also reduce community noise. An optional integrated dunk tank can fully submerge the aircraft battery, widely regarded as the most effective method of preventing thermal runaway reignition.”
As part of the partnership, Foster Aviation will display a prototype of Aeroberm’s fractal panel at VertiExpo Dubai, held December 14 to 16, 2026 at Festival Arena, Festival City. Advance orders will be taken at the event for delivery throughout 2027.
