Figurr and Aureum Mobility partner to build vertiports across Canada

Architects Figurr Architects Collective has announced a strategic partnership with Aureum Mobility, an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure company specializing in drone and vertiport technology and deployment. Figurr will support the planning, design, and implementation of next-generation vertiport infrastructure across Canada.

“By combining Aureum’s innovative infrastructure technology with Figurr’s internationally recognized aviation architecture expertise, the partnership supports the development of safe, sustainable, and scalable drone and vertiport infrastructure,” said the companies in a press release. “Together, they will help communities, airports, developers, and public-sector organizations prepare for the next generation of air transportation.”

While much attention has focused on the aircraft themselves, every successful AAM operation depends on the supporting infrastructure. Vertiports are far more than takeoff and landing sites—they are integrated mobility hubs that must safely accommodate aircraft operations, passenger movement, charging systems, maintenance requirements, and connections to surrounding transportation networks.

“Canada’s Advanced Air Mobility future depends on turning bold innovation into safe, inclusive, and operationally ready infrastructure,” said JR Hammond, Executive Director, Canadian Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM). ”This partnership between Figurr and Aureum Mobility brings together the design expertise and technology leadership needed to help Canadian communities, airports, and industry prepare for the next era of aviation. At CAAM, we are eager to see the expertise of Figurr and Aureum help expedite solving the infrastructure challenges that we are facing en route to commercial operations in Canada.”
