The Fort Lauderdale City Commission has voted to approve Holiday Park Parking Partners as the developer for a new multi-use parking and public safety project at Holiday Park. The proposal will include a new parking garage with rooftop vertiport.
“The accepted proposal includes a structured parking garage with a rooftop vertiport, a surface-level public parking lot, and a co-located Fire-Rescue/EMS substation to support emergency response and community safety,” said vertiport developer Vertiports by Atlantic in a Linkedin post, the vertiport partner in the consortium.
“By expanding parking capacity and enhancing emergency response capabilities, we’re investing in both quality of life and public safety for our residents and visitors,” said Commissioner Steven Glassman. “Our commitment goes beyond working for today. The vertiport demonstrates the City’s commitment to working for the future.”
The final project scope including costs, timelines, and operational details will be determined through negotiations and presented to the City Commission for review and approval at a future public meeting, said the local authority in a press release.
