Terminals Holding and Kookiejar sign MoU to build vertiports in emerging markets

Abu Dhabi-based Terminals Holding, an airport operator and ground handling service provider with over USD 1.6 billion of assets under its management, and Kookiejar of Sweden AB, a vertiport and advanced air mobility company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in building and operating vertiports in emerging markets, creating societal value.

The MoU was signed on March 7 during the “The Future of Air Transportation in Mauritania” conference in Nouakchott.

Terminals Holding is the holding company of Afroport Mauritanie. In a press release the company said it was eager to study the opportunities that vertiport operations and advanced air mobility offers, expanding services within the communities where the company already operates and in line with its sustainability and green energy goals

“We are a Greentech company enabling sustainable air mobility and we have already secured pilots in Europe and UAE with ongoing talks in the US,” said Kookiejar’s Founder and Chairman Kim Silander. “With this agreement we have the potential to expand our network into Abu Dhabi and other emerging markets that need our solutions, with Terminals Holdings as an operator. This is a huge step in expanding our market reach.”
