UrbanV, FFG partner to develop vertiports and routes to serve São Paulo AAM market

UrbanV, a vertiport company, and Future Flight Global (FFG), an operator of electric aircraft, have announced additional market deployment stemming from their recently established strategic partnership: the development of an AAM network in Brazil, starting in São Paulo.

With over 400 helicopters and 200+ helipads, São Paulo hosts the world’s largest civilian rotorcraft fleet, making it a prime launchpad for eVTOL operations,” said the companies in a joint press release.  “The partnership leverages this existing infrastructure to accelerate the implementation of scalable, sustainable urban and regional air mobility solutions.

“The joint network will connect São Paulo’s key urban and regional locations—including Faria Lima, Interlagos, Alphaville, and major airports—and will explore future expansion to other metropolitan areas, such as Rio de Janeiro.

“FFG plans to deploy its mixed fleet, including Eve aircraft from Eve Air Mobility, in accordance with a Letter of Intent recently signed with the Embraer-backed eVTOL manufacturer. This advancement demonstrates the shared vision of UrbanV and FFG to catalyze sustainable air mobility through innovation and infrastructure, laying the foundation for the future of flight in Brazil.

“UrbanV is already active in Brazil through its collaboration with Pax Aeroportos, including participation in national sandbox regulatory initiatives. The Campo de Marte Airport project, co-developed with Pax, is Brazil’s first vertiport testbed and will serve as the central hub of the planned network.”
