INFLYNC announces “first flight of the world’s first full-scale tilt-wing ducted fan eVTOL”

China’s INFLYNC has announced in a Linkedin post that “the world’s first full scale tilt wing ducted fan eVTOL — INFLYNC L600 has successfully completed its first flight.”

According to the company:

“INFLYNC L600 has a proprietary configuration of tilting ducted fan wings and a range extender. With a maximum range of 600km and a cruise speed of 360km/h, it carries six people including one pilot and five passengers. It supports multiple vertical takeoffs and landings on a single charge.”

The company recently signed partnership agreements with EFI Aviation, Guiyang Low-Altitude Industry Development Company, Shaanxi Helicopter Group, and Hainan Guangya General Aviation Operation Company; accumulating over 370 intended orders, covering tourism, emergency medical service, pilot training and island commuting scenarios.

The company plans for commercial passenger operations by 2028.
