Azur Drones, a European manufacturer of autonomous drones, announces that it has finalised a new fundraising with a French private investor. The group has now raised nearly USD29 million over four years. This new fundraising will assist the continued deployment of the SKEYETECH autonomous drone in France and the world supported by an increased demand resulting from COVID-19.
“The pandemic has highlighted a need for automation and new technology to guarantee continued industrial activity and social distancing,” explained Jean-Marc CREPIN, CEO of Azur Drones. “The resulting economic crisis requires businesses to optimise their technologies.” He continued, “Our SKEYETECH solution is in line with this need and we are delighted by the fundraising as it helps us to fulfil an increasing order book.”
Developed for the surveillance of industrial sites, the SKEYETECH autonomous drone is designed to be operated by a security guard. It requires no prior skills or remote pilot certifications. The drone fits snugly into the existing security system to carry out specific checks and perimeter patrols or to assist security teams during a breach. Therefore, it strengthens security and boosts the profits of those operations.
Several SKEYETECH systems are operational in France and the Middle East.
