Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) and the Brazilian National Aviation Agency (ANAC) have today (February 2) signed a cooperation framework on eVTOLs and electric aircraft. MLIT added that it is currently working on various system developments and safety inspections of aircraft.
The signatories are Makoto Eguchi, Director of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Safety Division, Safety Department, Civil Aviation Bureau of Japan, and Tiago Chagas Faierstein, President of ANAC.
The cooperation establishes a framework for the continuous exchange of information between the two parties regarding flying car policies, experience and knowledge. MLIT and ANAC will also cooperate on flying car projects, certification and on formulating technical standards for safe operations.
