LYTE Aviation and AMROS Group have announced a partnership to develop the LYTE “PowerBridge HyVolt” solution, a hybrid-electric propulsion system designed to power the worldwide first 40-passenger eVTOL across 1,000km regional routes.
“In defence applications, electric aviation is often dismissed due to battery or hydrogen limitations in payload or range, however, LYTE’s novel PowerBridge HyVolt hybrid system bridges exactly this gap,” said LYTE in a Linkedin post. “Enabling the most efficient collaboration between conventional combustion engines with high hp and medium hp electric engine. This integration and alignment of two fuel sources enable to power not only LYTE eVTOL, but also new generation, high-performance aircrafts (airplanes, helicopters) and drones and to ensure mission-ready capabilities especially for defence and commercial applications.
