Startup Pedia the New Delhi based media-tech platform has just published an update on the Chennai based ePlane Company. In its post it reports the company plans to “provide short range intra-city commutation at a 10x faster rate through its door-to-door service” and “as its B2B model, it aims to replace the helicopter fleet. It aims to be used for cargo and industrial use and for military applications. Currently, it also builds drones for industrial applications.
“The ePlane Company will be setting up a plant with an initial annual capacity of 100 planes. While the cargo carrier will be in operation from Feb 2023, the flying taxis will roll out by Dec 2024. These will first be introduced in Bengaluru and Mumbai.”
