Vertical Aerospace today released its “2022 – Year in Review” Shareholder Letter which looks back at 2022 “as a landmark year for Vertical” and confirms that total orders for the VX4 eVTOL have reach 1,400.
As well as reporting on the sales and commercial performance of the company the review covers a wide range of topics including the leadership team; prototyping and testing; VX4 flight test programme; battery technology; certification progress; and FAA Certification Validation.
The company also reports that during its first year as a public company it has:
- Built the VX4 prototype from concept and commenced its flight test programme;
- Extended its collaborative business model by bringing on more world-class aerospaceengineering partners to de-risk the path to certification;
- Further commercialised the VX4 by securing pre-orders from more customers and marketsegments, as well as strengthening its ties to existing vendors;
- Ensured its has strengthened the executive and engineering team and organisation in place.
