In an unusual partnership of aviation stakeholders Latvian national airline airBaltic and Latvian mobile telecommunications operator LMT have signed an agreement for collaboration within the drone industry. The agreement foresees a joined development of various drone solutions and LMT’s learning programme for drone pilots. Both companies will also collaborate on testing the mobile network coverage in the airspace, according to a press release.
airBaltic Training General Manager Kristaps Lapsa said the airline will have opportunities to create innovative solutions in the drone industry and provide conversant flight crews to undertake drone pilot teaching.
