Australia’s Latrobe Airport to establish an advanced air mobility command centre

Yarra Drones has been appointed to establish an Advanced Air Mobility Command Centre at Latrobe City airport in Victoria, Australia, according to a Linkedin post.

The city has established the Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct to support the research, development, testing and evaluation of AAM and uncrewed aerial systems.

According to its Linkedin profile: ”Latrobe City Council has established the Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct, Australia’s first integrated location for AAM research, development, and test and evaluation. Anchoring the Precinct will be the LaunchPad building, a facility designed to evolve with the needs of emerging technologies and industry need. The Launch Pad will bring together industry, innovators, suppliers and educational institutions in a shared environment that supports design, assembly, testing and evaluation, validation and commercialisation of AAM technologies. The Precinct will also embed renewable energy generation and storage solutions to support zero-emissions operations and demonstrate end-to-end sustainable aviation systems.”
