Salinas City, California, agrees Archer manufacturing facility – new four city flight test corridor announced

The City of Salinas, in its meeting of June 30, has approved a 10-year “Through-the-Fence” agreement for Archer Aviation to turning the form Coca-Cola 500,000sq ft facility into its new manufacturing and testing hub. Council members also announced Archer Aviation will host test flights, supported by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) along a new air corridor thanks to aUSD7.5 million grant connecting four airports: Salinas, Marina, Hollister, and Watsonville. Plans also include developing a vertiport and charging system at Salinas.
