Spanish Innovative Air Mobility Cluster Association launches vertiport working group

The SIAM (Spanish Innovative Air Mobility) Cluster Association in a Linkedin post has announced the launch of its new GT3 Working Group dedicated to vertiports. This group will be led by the Comunidad de Madrid.

According to the SIAM post, this group will focus on:

  • Monitoring the environment and analyse the latest information on the development of vertiports at a national and international level.
  • Clarifying the technical, operational and competence framework of the vertiports.
  • Helping clarify the distribution of competences between the different administrations.
  • Facilitating dialogue with the authorities to address regulatory and competence needs.
  • Actively promoting the creation of these infrastructures, identifying technical, operational and regulatory challenges, and proposing solutions.
  • Fostering collaboration with manufacturers and other key stakeholders, and participate in related projects.

“This working group will be a key space to align efforts, share knowledge and maximise the impact on the development of vertiports in Spain and Europe,” said the post.

The SIAM (Spanish Innovative Air Mobility) Cluster Association “integrates commercial companies, research units, associations, and other entities with national and international vocation in this sector….The Cluster’s objectives will be to manage, promote, defend, coordinate, and represent the common interests of its members, as well as to increase their competitiveness in sectors related to aeromobility, enabling them to address any challenges and opportunities arising from it, and to promote the development of the necessary infrastructure.”
