New AAM cooperative research centre project launched in Australia

The Swinburne University of Technology in Australia is spearheading a programme to develop an advanced air mobility Cooperative Research Centre.

“The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) is ideally structured to foster Australia’s Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) innovations, aligning with the CRC Grants scheme’s vision for long-term, industry-led research,” said the organisation’s new website.

“Launched at the AAUS summit in 2023, Advanced Air Mobility is a Cooperative Research Centre focused on disruptive research to advance Australia’s Aerospace and Aviation industry….With sovereign industry leaders backing the CRC model across various AAM sectors, and a roadmap spanning a decade for enhanced AAM utility, the initiative is ripe for startups and specialist SMEs to pivot towards AAM.”
