Eastwest connect reports that EHang is part of a USD147 million (Yuan 1 billion) project to develop a drone/eVTOL/advanced general aviation manufacturing base in Lichuan, in the southwest of Hubei province near the upper reaches of the Yangtze River in China.
“According to the signing agreement, the People’s Government of Lichuan City and Guangxi Lianchuang EHang Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. jointly build aviation industry projects based on the principle of complementary advantages and win-win cooperation,” said the report. “The total investment of the project is not less than 1.12 billion yuan. The proposed sites are Dongcheng Street, Wangying Town, Tuanbao Town and Nanping Township. It will mainly build drone production and tourism and health care industries.”
