Advanced air mobility takes flight in Ireland, with the BETA Alia CTOL

The first advanced air mobility electric aircraft flights have taken off in Ireland. BETA Technologies’ ALIA CX300 Conventional takeoff & landing (CTOL) aircraft has taken off from the Future Mobility Campus Ireland (FMCI) in Shannon as part of a wide-ranging industry partnership to launch AAM services in Ireland. Apart for BETA Technologies and the FMCI, industry partners in the test flights include the Shannon Airport Group, Atlantic Aviation Group, Irish Aviation Authority, AirNav Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Department of Transport, ASL Airlines and IDA Ireland.

According to a BETA Technologies Linkedin post:

“Today is our first stop as we make our way across the continent, ultimately delivering 214BT to our customers at Bristow Group, for operational previews in Norway alongside the Civil Aviation Authority Norway and Avinor.”
