Aerofugia “awarded CCAR-135 operation certificate from the CAAC for its AE200 eVTOL”

Aerofugia  has announced that it had obtained the CCAR-135 operation certificate issued by the Southwest Regional Administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, “marking that it has become the first eVTOL host manufacturer in China with the qualifications to carry out long-term short-distance aerial sightseeing flights and irregular passenger flights of 1 to 9-seat aircraft.” Said the company in a press release.

“In the future, it can provide a reference path for existing general aviation operators to quickly use eVTOL to carry out low-altitude sightseeing and low-altitude transportation.”

CCAR-135 Air Operator Certificate is an administrative license issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) in accordance with CCAR-135 to approve aviation operators to engage in specific types of aviation operations, continued the statement. It is a necessary license for civil aviation enterprises to operate commercially and is the basis for ensuring passenger safety, said the eVTOL developer.

“The issuance of an operating certificate requires a series of complex and rigorous review procedures, including evaluation and review of operating plans, personnel and equipment, organizational structure, financial revenue and expenditure, etc.”

According to the company’s website, the AE200 eVTOL is a six-seater  eVTOL aircraft with a range of 200 km.
