Avfoil News reports that UK helicopter charter platform Get Heli has created a pooling system for helicopters, laying the foundations for eVTOL services.
“The firm is launching the service to coincide with Glastonbury 2023 music festival, one of the UK’s longest running and biggest music events,” said the news source. “The system also brings the costs down and opens helicopter travel to more people, said Get Heli…. Also by flying helicopters full, the heli-pooling system replicates the sharing model already familiar in other sectors, such as road travel, thereby reducing emissions.”
“The Get Heli team also believe it is future-proofing helicopter travel. With an eye on the race to introduce eVTOLs or air taxis as replacement or supplement for traditional air shuttle services, the Get Heli pool has been designed for partnership with eVTOL OEMs.
The company has developed an API in the form of a window iframe, a plug and play solution embedded on a customers website and displaying a large selection of helicopter charter flights (on-demand, tours and shuttles).
